How to change the frequency setting
- While the standard FM frequency range is 88.0 - 108.0MHz,
most receivers work from 87.5MHz. We preset our transmitter_02 to 87.7MHz to avoid any interferences from
radio stations.
- To change the frequency in the range of +/-0.2MHz use nonmetal screwdriver.
No signal
- check the connection of the power plug. If using in a car ,
make sure the cigarette lighter works
- for indoor applications use the supplied power adapter
Sound is unclear
- turn off the transmitter to make sure there is no other station on this frequency
- try to turn down the volume on the audio source.
When I plug the transmitter into TV phone jack, the TV speakers turn off automatically. How to keep them on?
- if your TV is connected through a VCR or a cable box, you can use "Audio Out" jack on the VCR. This jack is of RCA type, you need to get a converter 3.5mm audio to RCA. Available at Radio Shack for about $1.00-2.00
- some TVs also have an RCA type "Audio Out" jack. It has no effect on the volume.
Working range
- Any obstacles (walls, building, etc) degrade the range of FM transmitter. At an open space a decent FM radio receives the signal in the range of
up to 200 feet.
- If a transmitter's frequency concurs with a powerful radio station, the sound may get distorted,
and the performance may drop dramatically. Make sure to find an unused frequency.
